Week 4 Artist

This is a piece by Eva Gyorffy entitled "Mirror 001," and is a part of her "Mirrors" series. Her work is done with a digital camera and through a computer by painting with a Wacom tablet, which reconstructs and reimagines her oil paintings. According to her website, she uses Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop to create these specific creations. Using these resources gives her artwork a disconnected and separated look, both literally and figuratively, as she takes what exists in the mind and places it outside of the body. I think this piece, being the first in her series, really expresses her vision to its fullest extent.
