Fractal Image
I used the program in switch mode and played around with the colors. I love the pale pink along with the green and black. Sorry Im not sure why I cant seem to save it without it saying evaluation copy.
Week 5: Fractal Art (Ultra Fractal)
This project took some creative juices. It almost gives you
the feeling of being in a lab working on a type of organism or some type of
scientific experiment. Getting through some of the initial stages thing started
to smooth out.
Apophysis Image
This is the image I made using Apophysis. The design was one of the random patterns that first popped up, and I picked it because I love how it looks like brush strokes. I also love the mix of pink and purple, as they add a pretty and almost floral appearance to the swirls.

Really Cool Week 4
This was defiantly one of my favorite weeks, I really enjoyed playing around with all the different affects. There was so much you go do within this program.
Week 4 Apophysis
I really had a good time creating this image and playing with all of the colors and effects. It was really fun watching how much it changed from the original I started with.

Werner Hornung Week 4 Moca
Werner is a computer artist who resided in France. He always had a passion for art. He started creating art out of old magazine and creating collages. He later started to scan them on his computer where he played around with Photoshop, Kai's Power Tools, Flair is his favorite which he says its imbedded in his head. I really enjoyed this painting as is shows some of the layering we have learned about in class and it has that whimsical feel that I love with the gold accents.
Painting Machine Project on Pixlr
Here is my image (finally!) from Pixlr for the Painting Machine Project. The original image was a close-up of a deer in a field, but as you can see, it has been heavily distorted. I love how changing the Mode from Normal to effects such as Darken, Add, and Alpha made the picture into something completely different from what it was. The neon-colored and blurred appearance it has now makes it a stark contrast compared to the bright and simple photograph it was before.
Week 5 Artist
This image is called "Between" and was created by Digital Sketch Artist Bev Hodson. She started working with computer graphics in the year 2000, and uses Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop to create them. This kind of artwork allows her creations to have a 3-Dimensional appearance, as well as the illusion that they are alive, as they appear to be simple sketches that have gained sentience of their own.

Week 5 Flame Fractals
Renata Spiazzi is using "Flame Fractal on this artwork. She found it exciting to find new lines,
new shapes, and new textures until new compositions take place. Renata thinks of fractals to be dream landscapes.

Week 4 - Renata Spiazzi
Spiazzi was born in Italy, she came to the U.S.A in 1952. She was very happy to embrace what a computer had to offer her. Her biography states she no longer used, wood, oils paints or water colors to create her work. She has used fractals programs and filters. This picture I used is called "Blush", I was interested in it because I used many liquify filters on photoshop and it kind of helped me or inspired my work this week.
Her work is very modern, something you would see on a website or a framed artwork. I really like the color scheme she has used. The brighter the better for me. Her link to her site is below.

Week 4
I wasn't able to download the Apophysis software. So I improvised, this was originally a hummingbird photo. I used Photoshop to add many layers of liquify and then I added an Iris blur filter to give the image more of a world look. It's pretty amazing how if you keep playing with all sorts of filters what you can get as your final product.

Week 5: Bernard Dumaine (MOCA Artist)
Bernard Dumaine is a French artist
who has a concentration on photorealism and surrealism. He works with varies
mediums like oils, acrylic, and digital painting. He’s part of a group of artists
that I found thought-provoking as they all work on piece as a collective piece.
One artist will complete a section and submit it to the next artist and so
forth until they have a finished product…a very interesting concept.

Week 4: Peter McLane II (MOCA Artist)
I wanted to use a second piece from
artist Peter McLane. I love his style and the way he puts his pieces together.
His color variations and crispy line techniques make his work really pop. He
incorporates a modern feel into his work and has created some very unique
pieces. He never uses images and creates straight from scratch. He is truly an
artist of great talent and one that I have grown found of. I hope he continues
to produce great work for the world to enjoy.
Week 4: Fractal Frame Apophysis.org
The Apophysis program allows an artist to really create and
manipulate shapes and lines in so many ways. There were tools that helped
create distortions, change directions, with the ability to change the entire
theme color of the piece created. Again, this was another program that I could
get used to.
Week 3: Peter McLane (MOCA Artist)
Born in France, Peter McLane, had a primary
love in music. He was introduced to the computer program Painter and became an
acclaimed digital artist. He had his first digital art show in Paris in 1994.
He compares his technique to no one, while he still pays homage to those before
him like Bosch and Dali. He resides in Venice on the south shoreline of the
Riviera where continues to work on virtual art. He uses no scanned images and
completes his work using a Wacom tablet and stylus.
Week 3: Painting Machine (Malcolm X)
The Painting Machine project was a great experience. Taking
us down a different path, the new tools took a little getting used to, but
turned out to be a pretty cool set of tools to work with. I look forward to
completing some of the others started.

Week 4 Artist
This is a piece by Eva Gyorffy entitled "Mirror 001," and is a part of her "Mirrors" series. Her work is done with a digital camera and through a computer by painting with a Wacom tablet, which reconstructs and reimagines her oil paintings. According to her website, she uses Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop to create these specific creations. Using these resources gives her artwork a disconnected and separated look, both literally and figuratively, as she takes what exists in the mind and places it outside of the body. I think this piece, being the first in her series, really expresses her vision to its fullest extent.

Week 4 MOCA
Frank Castile likes a blurred line between fantasy and reality. He states true art lives on the razor's edge between sanity and insanity. This are of a opening to a room that much of our pleasures, hopes, dreams, and darkest fears occur in. You can only image what lies in store once you enter in. I love that it gives the look of fantasy and reality.
Week 3 MOCA
It's time don't buried by the sun- Alexander
Alexander uses Photoshop and his digital camera for most of his work he is a 50 year old Russian native who enjoys adding mystery to most of his pictures. I enjoyed this photo because it reminded me of an old run down village mixed with this modern day woman. It reflects to me how the world is going back in time.
Week 3 Paint Machine
I really had fun using this technique and creating this from the original image it started from. It was really interesting to see how it transformed the final result.
Week 3 MOCA Artist
Lisle Drake has some artwork that I found interesting. She creates colorful works of art from her dreams. They all seem to have a unique story and she paints them in a fun way. Lisle uses Photoshop, Painter, and Illustrator and her input devices are a high resolution scanner and a Wacom tablet. She starts off by sketching her work on paper and then scanning it in, or she begins working in a painter or illustrator file using her tablet. She will also use an old digital file and manipulate the element in photoshop. This piece is called "Things Becoming New" and I chose this one because it shows things changing and evolving, like we do in our everyday lives.
Warhol Effect
Actually was playing around with images I shot myself, seems to be the most inspiration I have these days. Not 10% my favorite might come back and tweak it a little bit.

Week 3
Friday, November 17, 2017
Natali Hromin
This week I choose, Natali hromin. she is from Zagreb, Crotia. I don't know if I like the piece but I was interested because it looks like she layered images and colors on top of it. Looks like this was something off the coast in the Mediterranean, but it's interesting and different.
Per her biography, she studied Russian language and comparative literature. Her work usually consist of "layers from various sources". She uses a mixture of photographs, actual paintings, materials, and patterns using integrated software such as Paint shop, Brice, Corel and Photoshop. She enjoys the effects it allows her to do.
She does not have an active working website.

Week 2 MOCA Piece
This piece is by Renata Spiazzi. She is from Italy and taught art in the U.S. for a long time. She discovered computer art upon retirement and it has changed her life. She discovered filters fractal programs. She started making compositions using non objective images by fractals fragments and she has really created some great pieces. I love how she uses the water on the bottom and fades in into the pillars and how the colors reflect on the water on the ceiling.

Mirrored Image
This is my mirrored image of Angelina Jolie, in which the left side is emphasized as the one having been moved to create the mirrored effect. I liked this one the most because it still looks like her, though you can tell something is slightly off. I also like the nonchalance and clean effect the tool has, at least on this particular face.

Week 3 MOCA
Artist Rocha Maia used digital art for this artwork. The digital art work is also inspired by artists using techniques from all over the world, such as Derek Gorez, Adriano Gianolla, Silvio Alvarez, and many others, using a collage of elements taken from magazines, newspapers, etc. This piece caught my eye with the diffferent faces that are created with magazines clippens. I also like that the lady seem to have beautiful hanna it looks like on her face and hands.
Legoland
I tried a few different filters on this image. I picked different filters to distort and spherize and I tried to put motion into the image. I choose Legoland because my son has been asking almost every month to go to Legoland - its wishful thinking by picking the Dubai location.
Mirror Image
Mirrored image of Mr. Tupac Shakur. I know his frontal profile is obscured by his hands, but the picture expressed his passion.
Andy Warhol Image Week 2
I have always been a Lucille Ball fan and thought an image of her would be fun to play with. I decided to use one of the most famous episodes of her I Love Lucy Show which is vitameatavegimin. I definitely enjoyed the different colors I was able to use.

Richard Wazejewski
Richard Wazejewski struck me the first time I saw his work.
What made me like his work even more was the fact that he is a self-taught
artist with no formal training. He learned a lot and became obsessed with what
he learned and has now become a great digital artist. He uses Photoshop, Painter,
and Bryce to produce his images. He also uses his art as true expression and as
a “harness” for his feelings which is another similarity that I feel I share
with the artist. He also uses a tablet and stylus for a more detailed piece.
Warhol Image
This was my first time using a computer art program. I have
gained new respect for digital artistry. There were numerous pictures that I
played around with and this one of Bob Marley came out as close to a Warhol enthused
image as I could get it. Getting used to the program will take some time, but I’m
so glad I got the first one under my belt.
Weekly Artist #3
This is an image made by Carol Cooper entitled "Only Skin Deep." This kind of art is what she refers to as 'Paintographs,' which are digitally painted photographs that utilize unique textural elements and bright, abstract images to create realistic, yet imaginative pieces of art. She has been working with digital art since 2001. Her paintographs usually consist of still-life images, such as buildings and plants. But I liked this piece for its attention to detail, and ability to stay true to its name by looking like a photograph as well as a painting.

Alessandro Bavari
The artist I choose this week was Alessandro Bavari. I choose this piece because it caught my attention. All his images seem very dark. But this person with wings, locked in a cage and on their knees is interesting. I wonder what his thought was behind this image. Bavari uses a mixture of photography and digital manipulation with his art. He has tried his hand at watercolor, paint, crayon and photography, since he is mostly self taught, his images are his creation.
Here is the link to his website. It's very interesting!!

Week 2 Moca
The name of this piece is called Butterfly Trail by Peggi Wolfe. I fell in love with this picture because it was so whimsical. Its very vibrant and the colors really catch your eye. The artist for this piece is from Natchez, MS. She is self taught on most of her projects nd enjoys learning new and various techniques. she started her journey with video photography and has since expanded.
MOCA Artist/Painting
I really loved this Stefan Haberkorn, which shows a church outside after time in 3D. His artwork portrays his vision of life without humans. I love the natural feel of this picture, the stone walls, and the jagged rocks stopping the water from coming up to the windows. I love how abdoned this church is yet the beauty it still holds. Stefan uses 3d rendering software to create photo-realistic images based on polygon meshes and texture mappings. It almost looks like the CGI effects they use in movies.
Museum of Computer Art Artist #2
For my second week artist, I picked Greg Klamt, a surreal artist who specifies in 'techno-organic art.' Inspired by images of fantasy and surrealism as a child, he turned his attention to digital art, where he found a way to 'blur the edges of reality and imagination.' That is apparent by the look of his piece, 'Three Musicians,' which has a strange appearance that makes it stand out, almost like high-definition, but stays within the boundaries of graphic design through its childlike interior. According to his website, Greg has worked with photographs of various elements of nature, original drawings, mixed media paintings, etchings, and elements of graphic design to enable the specific appearances of his pieces.
The bizarre characters in the foreground, as well as the darkly colored fog and outline of the lizard behind them, offer the viewer a strange and surreal experience driven by childhood, imagination, and originality.

Seattle Space Needle-Skyline Oil Paint
This is an oil paint theme of the Seattle Space Needle and skyline. I was just in Seattle and returned this morning for business and thought this view was amazing and google a photo to create an oil paint style on Photoshop. It was pretty easy to manage. If anyone can get out to Seattle to view it in person, I would definitely recommend it. Amazing beyond words!!
Andy Warhol Inspired Image
Here is my image that mimics the style of Andy Warhol. I used the Liquefy tool to enhance the features of the person in the photo, and added a bright neon color using the Neon Glow filter to get more of a Warhol appearance. I tried to keep the contrast/structure to a minimum, as it appears the pop of color is what drives most of Warhol's work.
First Google Image on Photoshop
This is a piece I designed of Sasha Velour using the various editing settings on Photoshop. The 'texture' of the picture is called Cutout, which gives the image a painted, yet sketched kind of look. There were many options, including brightness, structure, shading, etc. that I had to carefully go through to get the percentage that matched how I wanted the picture to look. I decreased the brightness in the background, darkened her shirt, and highlighted her features to keep them looking realistic. I tried many different filters as well, but, wanting to go in a painterly direction, I found that the Cutout option was what I'd been looking for.

Week Two: Audrey Walker
This digital artwork is named “Slow Motion” and was created by Christina Seibold. Her artwork is heavily influenced by painting, graphic art and photography and has been largely emancipated since the 1900's. The digital artwork has changed the art of classical painting. I love the colors, the swirls and the face of the lady that pops out of the artwork at you.
Eric Kuns - Hue Girls on Bike
Eric
Kuns brings a since of innocence and tranquility to his piece, “Hue Girls on
Bike.” Kuns, who chooses to make unique and evocative works that reflect his
own subjective being in the world, has progressed from strictly traditional art
to using the computer as he realized the vast tools that he could use to make
his work more powerful.
Kuns incorporates his own drawings and
photos with Photoshop where he takes advantage of the power tools. A lot of his
early work is surreal and expressionistic and as he evolves and moves forward with his work, the computer allows him to make his work more dimensional and
transcendent.
